About Smith Books
Pat and Stan Smith, genealogists for 28 years, have presented seminars and workshops for genealogical societies in Kansas and Colorado, as well as teaching beginning genealogy classes for the local Recreation Commission. Their first foray into publishing started in the 1970's with reading the tombstone inscriptions in cemeteries in the township where Stanley grew up in Cowley Co., Kansas. Then a box of school record books Stanley's father had saved when the Upper Timber Creek country school was closed, became the next publishing project in 1979.
